83 Nigerians deported from UK arrive Lagos 

Just few days after the United States under the administration of Trump put a ban on immigrants from seven Muslim-majority countries, the United Kingdom has also deported 83 Nigerians.
The deportees arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, early morning of Wednesday, February 1. Among those deported are residents whose documents had expired and prisoners who have almost completed their prison term.

The deportees were received by Officials of the National Emergency Management Agency NEMA,Nigeria Immigration Service NIS, police men and aviation security personnel.
According to Punch, the spokesperson for the National Emergency Management Agency, South-West Zone,Ibrahim Farinloye, said the deportees were expected to be in the country at 5 a.m.
He said: “We were informed that 83 Nigerians would be deported from the United Kingdom on Wednesday morning.Some of the people affected are those who haven’t completed their prison sentences.They would be taken to Nigerian prisons to complete their terms.Although we cannot tell the various offences, we believe others could be drug-related and immigration problems.
“We expect that when they arrive in the country,we would be able to know the real reason for their deportation.The aircraft is expected to arrive in the country at 5am at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport.”
Meanwhile after the United States placed a ban on seven Muslim majority country,Iran in a move that is considered a reciprocal one,has placed a ban on US citizens entering the country.Iraqi politicians on Monday,January 30 banned US citizens from entering their country.
Kamil al-Ghrairi and Mohammed Saadoun who are Iraqi politicians said the decision which was made at the parliament was binding.
Although no specific numbers were given, they said this decision was made by majority of the politicians.

The Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday, May 9, remanded a politician identified as Charles Eni-Umukoro over the murder of his wife, Louisa Eni-Umukoro, who was a director in the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Justice Mary-Anne Aninih ordered the remand of Eni-Umukoro in Kuje Prison, FCT pending the hearing of his bail application. The Inspector General of Police (IGP) in February charged Umukoro with culpable homicide, which is punishable with death under Section 221 of the Penal Code. The defendant however denied the allegation. Amilcar Henriquez shot dead in his Panama home . Police in Panama say national team soccer player Amilcar Henriquez has been shot dead while leaving his home. The press chief for Panama’s National Police says the killing happened Saturday in the country’s Colon province. Authorities say a gunman shot the 33-year-old midfielder several times. Another two people were wounded. The player died at a nearby hospital. President Juan Carlos Varela has condemned the killing on his Twitter account. He is calling for authorities in Colon to find those responsible. Henriquez was part of the Panama team that is trying to qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. A Nigerian cleric is demanding for justice on behalf of his son who was allegedly murdered by security operatives while in custody. A Nigerian pastor, Pastor Gabriel Atansuyi, has begged for justice after alleging that the Nigeria Police are trying to cover up the death of his gospel artist son, Ifedolapo. According to Punch, Atansuyi had in a statement on March 8, 2017, accused the police of killing his son while in custody, and attempting to pass it off as suicide.
