Bus Somersaults Three Times Along Enugu Road (Photos)

After a terrible accident involving a commercial bus belonging to Benue Links Transports Company happened on Thursday, February 23.



According to Idoma Voice, the bus lost control while on high speed and rammed into a nearby bush along Enugu road. Speaking after the accident, a survivor said the car was heading to Port Harcourt before the ghastly accident.



“The bus somersaulted three good times but God stood for me and my friend, we came out with just a scratch on our body. Others were seriously injured but we thank God we are still alive,” the grateful survivor said.

Former President, Mr Goodluck Jonathan has confirmed the theft of his property from his house in Abuja. He confirmed the incident in a statement by his spokesperson, Ikechukwu Eze, following some media reports that the home was stripped bare and some of the items stolen were being sold in markets. "The house, which the former President bought from CITEC estate developers in 2004, was totally stripped bare by the thieves who stole every movable item in the house including furniture sets, beds, electronics, toilet and electrical fittings, as well as all internal doors and frames." The Police has arrested a suspected gang Leader in Ogun State for impersonation and the murder of a middle aged motorboy after an altercation in Abeokuta, the state capital. Parading the suspect alongside other suspects at the state command of the Police, the state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, said the suspect was a leader of a robbery gang allegedly terrorizing residents in many parts of the capital.  According to Mr Iliyasu, the suspect had brought an unregistered Sienna vehicle to one Alaja car wash, Leme Abeokuta and later on, got involved in an argument with a motorboy who was identified as Rasaq. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has set up a team to investigate the immediate past Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal. This was disclosed to DAILY POST by a source within the commission.
