Bus Somersaults Three Times Along Enugu Road (Photos)

After a terrible accident involving a commercial bus belonging to Benue Links Transports Company happened on Thursday, February 23.



According to Idoma Voice, the bus lost control while on high speed and rammed into a nearby bush along Enugu road. Speaking after the accident, a survivor said the car was heading to Port Harcourt before the ghastly accident.



“The bus somersaulted three good times but God stood for me and my friend, we came out with just a scratch on our body. Others were seriously injured but we thank God we are still alive,” the grateful survivor said.

After weeks of intensive manhunt, the Lagos state police command has arrested one Ismaila Adeyemi, 49, the suspected mastermind and killer of Hector Jobateh (the 2007 winner of Gulder Ultimate search) who was traced and shot dead at his residence at New Oko-Oba in Agege, Lagos State. The suspect who was arrested at gas line Ominiyi in Ijoko area of Ogun state, confessed to the crime and other numerous crimes, while other members of his gang have been arrested. A chef, Godwin Obot, 40, was arraigned in Lagos on Wednesday for allegedly defiling his neighbour’s eight-year-old daughter after luring the girl into his room with soft drink. The accused was brought before a Tinubu Chief Magistrates’ Court, charged with defilement of a minor.  Obot, however, pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of N500, 000 with two sureties in like sum. The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Kikelomo Ayeye, directed that Obot must provide two sureties, one of whom should be a community leader. Ayeye said the other surety should be a civil servant on grade level 16.  She said the accused should be remanded in prison if he failed to meet the bail conditions. The Prosecutor, Insp.
