Bus Somersaults Three Times Along Enugu Road (Photos)

After a terrible accident involving a commercial bus belonging to Benue Links Transports Company happened on Thursday, February 23.



According to Idoma Voice, the bus lost control while on high speed and rammed into a nearby bush along Enugu road. Speaking after the accident, a survivor said the car was heading to Port Harcourt before the ghastly accident.



“The bus somersaulted three good times but God stood for me and my friend, we came out with just a scratch on our body. Others were seriously injured but we thank God we are still alive,” the grateful survivor said.

Six dead, tens injured in DEADLY highway crash  has claimed six -The accident involved a saloon car and a bus -Five of the deceased were from the saloon car Six people lost their lives early on Sunday morning after deadly accident involving a saloon car and a bus along the Londiani-Muhoroni-Kisumu Highway . The accident occurred when the driver of the bus lost control of the vehicle and consequently swerved into the other lane, colliding with the Toyota Wish head-on. Five of the six who died on the spot were from the personal vehicle. Tens of passengers were seriously injured following the incident, and were rushed to hospital by onlookers, prior to the arrival of the police. The meeting of the Federal Executive Council that holds every Wednesday did not hold yesterday. Yesterday would have afforded President Muhammadu Buhari who returned to the country on Saturday the opportunity of presiding over the council meeting for the first time in over three months. The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, disclosed in a statement that the meeting would not hold. Jamie Harron, 27, has been sentenced to three months in jail in Dubai for touching a man's hip as he carried a drink through a crowded bar. He was arrested for public indecency at the Rock Bottom bar on 15 July. The electrician, from Stirling, claimed he was simply trying to avoid spilling his drink when he touched the man. It was thought the case against Harron might have been dropped after reports that the businessman he touched had withdrawn his complaint. But on Sunday the campaign group Detained in Dubai, which has been supporting Harron, said he had been sentenced to three months in jail for public indecency. The group said he would appeal against the jail term but he faced further court proceedings for drinking alcohol and for allegedly swearing at the businessman he touched.
