The residents of Moro Village in Akwanga local government area of Nasarawa state were shocke after a prominent traditional healer, Dr. Dennis Nakowa was abducted by gunmen from his residence and was later murdered by the kidnappers.
Speaking to correspondent, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Abubakar Sadie Belly, who confirmed the incident, said the abductors invaded the deceased’s residence on Friday, February 18, after killing a security guard and took him to an unknown place.
His body was found on Tuesday, February 21, by the police and local vigilante group in a forest around the village. He was laid to rest yesterday in his country home in Agenda, Plateau State.

A teenage father with a tattoo covering half his face saying DEVAST8 has cried out over his struggle to get a job. 19 year old Mark Cropp , who was recently released from prison, put a plea out on Facebook saying his facial tattoo was stopping him securing employment. He also said his tattoo which is not gang affiliated- wasn 't planned and was not supposed to be quite as big. He got it a number of months ago while in prison serving a two year and three month sentence in the Otago Correction Facility for aggravated robbery, the NZ Herald reports. A bloody clash between the army and police in Nigeria's restive northeastern Yobe state on Wednesday left one soldier and three police dead, a security source told AFP.  The police confirmed the fracas in the state capital of Damaturu, but did not say if there were casualties.  "The Nigeria police force is abreast of the unfortunate incident that occurred in the early hours of today 12th April, 2017 in Damaturu between the personnel of the force and that of the Nigerian army," police spokesman Jimoh Moshood said in a statement.  He said an investigation had been launched to determine "the causes of the incident and deal with the situation appropriately to prevent such occurrence in the future".  The army authorities were not immediately available for comment. The Nigerian government has reacted to the killing of a Nigerian identified as Rasak Alao in South Africa. Recall that the Nigerian man, an auto mechanic, was on Thursday killed in South Africa after he was attacked alongside other Nigerians in Polokwane, Limpopo Province in South Africa. Reports indicated that the men were attacked following suspicions that they were into drug trafficking. Rasak Alao whose car was burnt lost his life in the attack which was carried out on him and five other Nigerians.
