DEATH;CHAIRMAN ILAJE LGA SLUMPS,DIES

Agunola Omomowo, the Chairman of Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State is dead.Mr. Omomowo also popularly known as "Adoration" among his political supporters died in the early hours of Friday after attending a political meeting.
A source who confirmed the news disclosed that Mr. Omomowo slumped in his hotel room shortly after the meeting.
The source who pleaded anonymity said the late Ilaje local government chairman was confirmed dead on arrival at a local hospital in the area.
The same source stated that the "sorrowful news" has already thrown the workers in the local council area into mourning.
"My younger brother told me that he (Omomowo) slumped in his hotel room after a political meeting, but the details are still not clear to me" the source said.
It was gathered that the outgoing Governor Olusegun Mimiko had earlier met with some of the local government chairmen before the incidence.
Late Omomowo who is a Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was elected as the Ilaje Local Government Chairman on March 24, 2016.

Gunmen suspected to be militants on Thursday morning invaded Lagos State Model College, Igbo Nla, Epe, Lagos, abducting the principals and some students. The kidnappers were said to have stormed the school in the early hours when the students were at the morning assembly. The gunmen abducted the principal of the junior secondary school, Mr. Oyesola and Mr. Akirinmade who is the Principal of the senior secondary school. They also abducted some of the students. Presenting the case to the House of Representatives, the member representing Epe Constituency, Wale Raji, appealed to the House to call on the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris and the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State to treat the case with utmost urgency. For more than five decades, the black-and-white image of Irene Garza has haunted the town of McAllen, Tex., her story painfully recounted again and again. She was a 25-year-old dark-haired former beauty queen, her high school's first Latina drum majorette, the first in her family to graduate from college. She was named Miss All South Texas Sweetheart, and worked as a teacher for disadvantaged children.   But at the center of Garza's life was her Catholic faith.
