DSS PICKUP FORMER GOVERNOR ON ARRIVAL IN NIGERIA

Former Delta state governor James Onanefe Ibori who arrived Nigeria in the early hours of today,4th of February 2016 was picked up on arrival by the department of state security DSS.

He was driven to the DSS office for a meeting with the DSS top brass,according to a source,the pickup was not an arrest of any sort but a scheduled meeting  with the former governor on crucial issues with need for clarity.

Remember Ibori who was arrested,tried and sentenced to 13 years imprisonment for money laundering and other currupt practices which he served and gained freedom a short while ago.

Tuesday 14 Feb 2017 The wife and stepson of a Ku Klux Klan leader who was found fatally shot next to a river have been charged with murder. Malissa Ann Ancona, 44, and her 24-year-old son, Paul Edward Jinkerson Jr., were charged with first-degree murder, tampering with physical evidence and abandonment of a corpse following the death of white supremacist Frank Ancona. Both have been jailed without bond. Jinkerson shot his 51-year-old stepfather as he slept Thursday at his home in Leadwood, about 70 miles south of St. Louis, a probable cause statement alleges. After the shooting, Ancona’s body was taken in Jinkerson’s vehicle to an area near Belgrade, about 20 miles away, according to St. Francois County Sheriff’s Department detective Matt Wampler. The Edo Woman Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Aisosa Amadasun, and four others, have been brought before a Benin High Court, for allegedly committing contract fraud to the tune of N1.5bn, NAN reports. The Borno State Police Command said on Wednesday that as a result of "Operation Safe Corridor," the counter-terrorism effort of the Nigerian military, two high profile commanders of the Boko Haram militant group have surrendered, along with their families. In a statement to newsmen in Maiduguri by its public relations officer, DSP Victor Isuku, the command said that 13 civilians were also rescued from suspected kidnappers, with two of the hoodlums dying of injuries received in a gun battle with the police. EMIR OF KUWAIT US ally Kuwait has given North Korea's ambassador a month to leave the Gulf state and will downgrade its diplomatic representation with Pyongyang, a senior Kuwaiti diplomat told AFP Sunday. North Korea's diplomatic presence in the emirate will also be reduced to a charge d'affaires and three diplomats, the source told AFP, requesting anonymity. The measures follow a visit less than two weeks ago by Kuwait Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad Al-Sabah to Washington. The source said Kuwait will not renew permits given to North Korean workers to re-enter the country after projects they are currently working on are completed "within one or two years".
