DSS PICKUP FORMER GOVERNOR ON ARRIVAL IN NIGERIA

Former Delta state governor James Onanefe Ibori who arrived Nigeria in the early hours of today,4th of February 2016 was picked up on arrival by the department of state security DSS.

He was driven to the DSS office for a meeting with the DSS top brass,according to a source,the pickup was not an arrest of any sort but a scheduled meeting  with the former governor on crucial issues with need for clarity.

Remember Ibori who was arrested,tried and sentenced to 13 years imprisonment for money laundering and other currupt practices which he served and gained freedom a short while ago.

The Rivers state deputy governor, Dr Ipalibo Banigo, in a statement on Wednesday in Port Harcourt, asked the Police and other law enforcement agen­cies to ensure that the suspect is re-arrested and brought to justice without delay. She stressed that the report that the suspect es­caped from the hands of the Investigating Police Officer (IPO) is "totally unaccept­able and very embarrass­ing." Abductors demand N100m ransom for DPO kidnapped in Delta MARCH 8TH 2017, Abductors of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of C Division Police  Station in Asaba, Delta State, Mr. Valentine Mbalu, have opened negotiation with his family members and are demanding N100 million ransom to secure the cop’s release. Mbalu was reportedly kidnapped by six heavily armed gunmen, who ambushed him while in Agbor town for an official assignment on Monday.
