North Korea said the new missile reached an altitude of about 4,475 km (2,780 miles) - more than 10 times the height of the International Space Station - and flew 950 km (590 miles) during its 53-minute flight. Images released by North Korea on Thursday appeared to show it has succeeded in developing a missile capable of delivering a nuclear weapon anywhere in the United States and it could be only two or three tests away from being declared combat ready, U.S.-based experts said on Thursday. A disgruntled husband killed his wife during their cruise-ship vacation because "she would not stop laughing at me," according to newly filed court papers. Kenneth Manzanares attacked his wife, Kristy, inside their cabin aboard the Emerald Princess cruise ship Tuesday night, according to an affidavit filed Wednesday in Alaska federal court. A witness told authorities that when he entered blood-splattered Cabin D726 — where the Manzanareses were staying — Kristy, 39, was lying on the floor in a pool of blood. "She would not stop laughing at me," Kenneth told the stunned witness, who then watched as the distraught hubby grabbed Kristy's body and tried to drag her toward the balcony. NIGERIAN ARMY AND POLICE CLASH BLOODY,4 DIE

A bloody clash between the army and police in Nigeria's restive northeastern Yobe state on Wednesday left one soldier and three police dead, a security source told AFP.  The police confirmed the fracas in the state capital of Damaturu, but did not say if there were casualties.  "The Nigeria police force is abreast of the unfortunate incident that occurred in the early hours of today 12th April, 2017 in Damaturu between the personnel of the force and that of the Nigerian army," police spokesman Jimoh Moshood said in a statement.  He said an investigation had been launched to determine "the causes of the incident and deal with the situation appropriately to prevent such occurrence in the future".  The army authorities were not immediately available for comment. 72-year-old Clarence White who got fed up of his wife complaining about his inability to satisfy her sexually or financially ended up pulling the trigger on her. The man is said to have grabbed a 22-caliber handgun and shot his much-younger wife in the face at their Bronx home on Thursday morning. Sources told the New York Daily News that the shooting followed an argument between White and his 28-year-old wife over her growing dissatisfaction with his inability to satisfy her financially or sexually. Responding officers who were called to the scene found Dominique White around 8:40 a.m. sitting on the floor in a hallway of their home on Glebe Ave. in Parkchester.
