Breaking: James Ibori leaves DSS custody after 'meeting' with DG
The former governor of Delta state
returned to the country on Saturday, February 4, after serving a 13 year jail term for fraud in the UK.

Ibori was picked up by DSS operatives and then taken to the head office of the DSS for what was described as a briefing.
He is reportedly on his way to Oghara, his hometown where he is eagerly being awaited in by his relations and supporters.

Ibori who was the governor of Delta state was released in December after serving jail term slammed on him by a British Court.
Shortly after his release, the former governor had promised he would return to Nigeria to continue his political career in Delta his home state and Nigeria at large.

Benue State Police Command has busted two kidnap syndicate of 8 including a Gang of 4 allegedly led by a woman believed to be an associate of the wanted militant leader, Terwase Agwaza, aka Gana, who a week ago abducted a businessman. The police operation also led to the arrest of three women whose responsibilities were to provide food for the victims, who was rescued alive. The businessman was kidnapped alongside his son, who was later released to source N20 million as ransom for his father.  The state's Police Commissioner, Bashir Makama, said: "During investigations, we discovered that the lady, who was arrested had the responsibility of pencilling down those to be kidnapped and those to be killed by the gang. They are all associates of Gana, the wanted militant leader. Also arrested, after reliable information, is one Victor Ayanngor, who conspired with Ordue Abraham, Kelvin Dankor and Emmanuel Terver to kidnap his girlfriend and collect N200,000 ransom."

Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, has backed out of his planned talks with the South-East Governors Forum » . The IPOB leader had met with the governors at the Enugu State Government House on August 30, 2017 said his decision was informed by the prevailing situation in the South East. Armed Robber Burnt To Death In Calabar By Mob After Juju Failed February 16, 2017 A dead man was found lying by the side of the Nigerian Navy Reference Hospital, Murtala Mohammed Highway, closed to RCC roundabout, Calabar after he was burnt to death by an angry mob. Many of the farmers and their families had contracted it and many died. The doctor came upon this one farmer and to his surprise, everyone was very healthy. When the doctor asked what the farmer was doing that was different the wife replied that she had placed an unpeeled onion in a dish in the rooms of the home,(probably only two rooms back then). The doctor couldn't believe it and asked if he could have one of the onions and placed it under the microscope. She gave him one and when he did this,he did find the flu virus in the onion.
