- Armed herdsmen suspected to be Fulani were arrested by Policemen in Kaduna
- The men were allegedly caught with 2 AK 47 rifles and 2 cutlasses
Some armed men alleged to be Fulani herdsmen were today arrested at Samaru Kataf roundabout, Kaduna.

An eye witness stated that the herdsmen were arrested around 7:30 am by the vigilant policemen stationed at the Samaru Kataf roundabout, Kaduna.

The suspects allegedly confessed that they were on their way to Fardan Kashi. They reportedly were caught with two AK47 rifles and two cutlasses.

Meanwhile, three people have been killed in Gereng community of Girei local government area of Adamawa state after a clash erupted between some suspected Fulani men and farmers.
An eyewitness reported that some members of the Gereng community were fishing in a pond near the River Benue yesterday, January 31 when some migrating herdsmen launched an attack on them.
The eyewitness said the development irked members of the community who then launched an attack to repel the herdsmen but on getting there the herdsmen had fled the scene of the incident.

Amilcar Henriquez shot dead in his Panama home . Police in Panama say national team soccer player Amilcar Henriquez has been shot dead while leaving his home. The press chief for Panama’s National Police says the killing happened Saturday in the country’s Colon province. Authorities say a gunman shot the 33-year-old midfielder several times. Another two people were wounded. The player died at a nearby hospital. President Juan Carlos Varela has condemned the killing on his Twitter account. He is calling for authorities in Colon to find those responsible. Henriquez was part of the Panama team that is trying to qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. The Rivers state deputy governor, Dr Ipalibo Banigo, in a statement on Wednesday in Port Harcourt, asked the Police and other law enforcement agen­cies to ensure that the suspect is re-arrested and brought to justice without delay. She stressed that the report that the suspect es­caped from the hands of the Investigating Police Officer (IPO) is "totally unaccept­able and very embarrass­ing." Appeal Court confirms Ali Modu Sheriff as PDP chairman 17th February 2017 The Court of Appeal has declared Ali Modu Sheriff as the national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Kogi herbalist to die by hanging for killing 2 brothers A herbal medicine practitioner and ritualist, Ibrahim Mohammed, has been sentenced to death by hanging for killing two brothers in Koton-Karfe area of Kogi State. He was accused of killing two brothers, Muhammed Kudu Abubakar and Umar Tanko. The herbalist was said to have administered poison on them before hitting them on the head with a pestle and then buried their corpses in a shallow grave in his compound.
