KIDNAP;SECRETARY ISHERI NORTH ESTATE KIDNAPPED,3 KILLED IN PROCESS

Gunmen kidnap Isheri north estate Estate Secretary in Lagos, kill 3 security guards in the process

Gunmen this afternoon Thursday 09 Feb abducted Secretary of Isheri North Estate,GRA,Lagos State,Mr Dayo Adekoya.
    Recall that nine landlords of an estate close to the area were late last year abducted alongside their trainer and recently in the area,eight staff and students of the Nigeria Turkish International School were kidnapped and released.
On the latest case,Adekoya was abducted at about 1am by gunmen who stormed the estate.

Channels reports that the assailants shot into the air before taking Adekoya and 3 estate security men were reportedly killed in the operation.

Lagos State Commissioner of Police,Fatai Owoseni, has confirmed the incident.

Amilcar Henriquez shot dead in his Panama home . Police in Panama say national team soccer player Amilcar Henriquez has been shot dead while leaving his home. The press chief for Panama’s National Police says the killing happened Saturday in the country’s Colon province. Authorities say a gunman shot the 33-year-old midfielder several times. Another two people were wounded. The player died at a nearby hospital. President Juan Carlos Varela has condemned the killing on his Twitter account. He is calling for authorities in Colon to find those responsible. Henriquez was part of the Panama team that is trying to qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. He played in the last 20 minutes of Panama’s 1-1 tie with the United States last month and has appeared 75 times for his country.

A fire incident which happened on Saturday evening at Makoko and Satellite Town areas of Lagos State, has left a seven-day-old baby dead, and copies of West African Senior School Certificate Examination results badly burnt. The Rivers state deputy governor, Dr Ipalibo Banigo, in a statement on Wednesday in Port Harcourt, asked the Police and other law enforcement agen­cies to ensure that the suspect is re-arrested and brought to justice without delay. She stressed that the report that the suspect es­caped from the hands of the Investigating Police Officer (IPO) is "totally unaccept­able and very embarrass­ing." Appeal Court confirms Ali Modu Sheriff as PDP chairman 17th February 2017 The Court of Appeal has declared Ali Modu Sheriff as the national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Kogi herbalist to die by hanging for killing 2 brothers A herbal medicine practitioner and ritualist, Ibrahim Mohammed, has been sentenced to death by hanging for killing two brothers in Koton-Karfe area of Kogi State. He was accused of killing two brothers, Muhammed Kudu Abubakar and Umar Tanko. The herbalist was said to have administered poison on them before hitting them on the head with a pestle and then buried their corpses in a shallow grave in his compound.
