February 9th, 2017The pair were found wrapped in bags and tied up with ropes in the town of Punta Lara, in the eastern Argentine province of Buenos Aires.The victims were identified as Peruvian nationals Maruja Chacon Perez, 50, and Shirley Cielo Barrientos 15.
A short distance from the metre-deep (3-foot) hole the bodies were found in,police found the teen’s underwear and a bloody knife.
Police are investigating the cause of death and are hunting a suspect,Hugo Orlando Hidalgo 40,believed to be the mother’s boyfriend.The pair were found wrapped in bags and tied up with ropes
Investigating prosecutor Marcelo Romero said the police investigation started after relatives reported the women’s disappearance, having heard nothing from them since 28th January.
The victim’s son Douglas Barrientos gave a somewhat confusing account to local media of an audio recording made by one of his mother’s friends.He said the friend had called his mother after her disappearance, recording the conversation. On the recording, above the sound of a television in the background, his mother can be heard to say: “Please, I do not want to die.”It was not clear whether the friend realised what was being said at the time.
Barrientos believes that the murders of his mother and teen sister are related to human trafficking as they might have died trying to protect themselves from being sold.

Heavily armed policemen on Tuesday in Dutse, Jigawa State capital, fired teargas canisters at a crowd that gathered at the Chief Magistrate Court Two for the arraignment of former governor Sule Lamido, who is being tried for making inciting remarks. Counsel for the Jigawa State Government, Ikenna Ekpunobi, insisted that Lamido should not be granted bail until investigation was completed. A middle aged man has been arrested in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital for being in possession of human parts. Tribune Online gathered that the suspect had been under surveillance of residents of Ita Kudimo, Abata Suban, Pakata area of Ilorin West local government in the past few days after speculation grew that he possessed a corpse in his building. From what we could gather, the man apparently, reported his son missing to the Police, which of course prompted a search for the child. The headless body of the child was later found in the fathers’ car with one of his foot chopped off. The story was shared by one Taskar Gizago, but it was written in Hausa.
