75 YEAR OLD EX SOLDIER ARRESTED FOR ALLEGED ARMED ROBBERY

The Edo state police command has arrested a 75-year-old retired soldier, Jubrin Ugiagbe, for alleged armed robbery. According to a Facebook user, Festus Alenkhe, who shared the news on his page, the ex-soldier was accused of supplying suspected armed robbers with guns.It is gathered that the former soldier allegedly received payment after every operation carried out by the suspected robbers.

 Alenkhe wrote: “A 75 year old grandfather and retired soldier ,Jubrin Ugiagbe and two others have been arrested by men of the Edo state police command for alleged armed robbery. The ex-soldier is been squeezed for supplying the suspected armed robbers with the guns used in their Various opetations where financial returns were made after every operation...”

The meeting of the Federal Executive Council that holds every Wednesday did not hold yesterday. Yesterday would have afforded President Muhammadu Buhari who returned to the country on Saturday the opportunity of presiding over the council meeting for the first time in over three months. The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, disclosed in a statement that the meeting would not hold. Adesina did not however disclose the reason behind the decision to cancel the meeting. Late Joy Odama Autopsy has revealed that Joy Odama who was allegedly killed by an Alhaji in Abuja, died after inhaling carbon monoxide fumes. Joy Odama, a 200 level undergraduate Mass Communication student at Cross River State University, according to her mother was murdered by Usman Adamu. Former President, Mr Goodluck Jonathan has confirmed the theft of his property from his house in Abuja.
