       Leadership newspaper repoter, Midat Joseph was arrested by security men attached to the Kaduna state governor,Nasir El-Rufai. He was allegedly arrested on the orders of the state Governor.Security operatives stormed the the home of Midat Joseph in the early hours of today arresting him over a recent report he wrote criticizing the state government.

        The tyrant of a governor should at least tell Nigerians what his offence is and if what he wrote was unlawful.Well as far as we concerned,Midat Joseph is a Nigerian,a free one at that with the right to freedom of speech,we appeal to the federal government to intervene and curb this notoriety of these governors such as that of Kaduna state and his twin brother in Kogi,Yahaya Bello who sent a team to abduct Austin Okai  Arrest of Austin Okai: Impunity Taken Too Far – Group | :: Latest ... from Abuja who we believe is been incarcerated somewhere in the state capital,Lokoja.

The Benue State government has denied the reports alleging that the consignments containing snakes intercepted by the Nigeria Customs in Calabar belongs to Governor Samuel Ortom. It described it as another desperate smear campaign by members of the opposition. A Federal High Court sitting in Ibadan has ordered that a former Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Oloye Jumoke Akinjide and another chieftain of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo state, Chief Olanrewaju Otiti be remanded in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over the N650 million fraud allegedly collected to fund the 2015 election in the state. The court also ordered the anti-graft body to produce unfailingly the second defendant in the case, Senator Ayoade Adeseun who has failed to appear in court to face trial over the alleged fraud. T wenty six year-old Alice Awuor Omito from Rongo, Migori County, Kenya, has shocked many after confessing that preparing the dead for burial is the one thing that makes her happy. The employee of Rosewood Funeral Home in Rongo said that she dropped out of nursing school after fears that she would not secure employment after school. The mortician began working as a morgue attendant at Star Mortuary in Kisumu two years ago, aged 24 before transferring to Rosewood in Rongo and says that she can't imagine being away from the dead. "I enjoy spending a better part of my working days with the dead. I can't imagine staying away from them even for a single working day. The government of the United Kingdom has said it stands with Nigeria in the fight against Boko Haram insurgents.
