       Leadership newspaper repoter, Midat Joseph was arrested by security men attached to the Kaduna state governor,Nasir El-Rufai. He was allegedly arrested on the orders of the state Governor.Security operatives stormed the the home of Midat Joseph in the early hours of today arresting him over a recent report he wrote criticizing the state government.

        The tyrant of a governor should at least tell Nigerians what his offence is and if what he wrote was unlawful.Well as far as we concerned,Midat Joseph is a Nigerian,a free one at that with the right to freedom of speech,we appeal to the federal government to intervene and curb this notoriety of these governors such as that of Kaduna state and his twin brother in Kogi,Yahaya Bello who sent a team to abduct Austin Okai  Arrest of Austin Okai: Impunity Taken Too Far – Group | :: Latest ... from Abuja who we believe is been incarcerated somewhere in the state capital,Lokoja.

        Lest the governors and their colleagues forget,they are only making more enemies for themselves but come 2019,we shall remind them as all these media stunts they are creating is part of their campaigns in the making and we shall not stop.

 RELEASE THEM NOW OR CHARGE THEM TO COURT, MARC PIUS ONUCHE AYEGBA.

In an alleged ecstasy to impress their paymaster, a team of police operatives, on Sunday, shot dead one Elvis Ovie and injured another, Onome Eko, during a party in Warri, Delta State. Operatives, three of whom are now in police detention, were said to have been in a shooting spree to impress an alleged internet fraudster popularly called 'yahoo yahoo boys' for whom they were providing security. It was gathered that the gun-wielding cops were led by one Insp. Imana Samuel, a Sergeant and a corporal from the Warri Area Command. The vehicle reportedly used to hurriedly convey late Ovie and injured Eko to a hospital, it was gathered, also brushed off another unidentified victim who is now on admission in an undisclosed location. ONIGBESE GOVERNOR OF KOGI MOVES TO END STRIKE IN STATE UNIVERSITY

Governor  Yahaya Bello of Kogi state has appealed to members of the state university's academic staff union to call off their strike.(Which would be a big mistake if they comply) Bello, who visited the University at Ayingba on Tuesday, pledged to pay all the salary arrears of lecturers and non-academic staff of the institution this month. He said the payment would cover those on contract and study leave, as well as those employed in 2015. The governor, however, said those who take the government to court would not benefit from the payment.(Listen to such nonsense) "I am going to pay every single dime, compute the arrears of all outstanding salaries. Nigerian artiste and the father of the 2nd child of serial entrepreneur, Toyin lawani, has been arrested by the Lagos State police.  As at the time of filing this report, Lordtrigg is at the Jakande police station, Lekki, Lagos, for not paying his hotel bills at the Golden Bird Hotel in Ilasan, Lekki He's currently behind the counter with his friend, without slippers. The hotel had reported them and police busted them in their room today, with their laptops.  The hotel said they claim to be musicians but the police is claiming that they are "Yahoo boys," after busting them with four laptops. It was gathered that they have been staying at the hotel for six months without paying.

NIGERIAN SECURITY AGENTS FOIL ISIS/BOKO HARAM PLOT TO BOMB UK AND US EMBASIES

Nigerian security forces say they have foiled a plot by ISIS-linked Boko Haram militants to bomb the British High Commission and US Embassy in the capital Abuja. The Department of State Services announced that it had arrested five suspects who were planning attacks. A DSS official said a suspected Boko Haram member who was arrested on March 22, in north-eastern Yobe state, confessed details of the plot. That led to the arrests of the five plotters, who were based in Benue State, in the country's middle belt, and the Federal Capital Territory, on March 25 and 26. 30 NEW ILLEGAL REFINERIES FOUND IN RIVERS STATE

Photo: Lyold Desmond/ICE/NAN/file The Nigerian Navy says it has discovered 30 new illegal refineries with combined capacity to produce about four million litres of petroleum products daily. Capt. Victor Choji, the Executive Officer of the Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) Pathfinder, Port Harcourt, said this during the destruction of one of the illegal refineries on Thursday. He said all the refineries were discovered in Asari Toru Local Government area of Rivers, with 40 huge metallic storage tanks . The News Agency of Nigeria reports that some of the storage tanks were filled with petroleum products suspected to be diesel and crude oil. Choji noted that the discovery was in continuation of the current mop-up of illegal refineries and illicit bunkering of petroleum products by crude oil thieves.
