BREAKING NEWS;NNAMDI KANU GRANTED BAIL AT LONG LAST

A federal high court in Abuja has granted bail to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on special conditions.
He can not attend a rally or be in a crowd exceeding 10 persons.

 Binta Nyako, justice of the court, granted Kanu bail on “health grounds”. Kanu, alongside other three pro-Biafra agitators, has been facing trial for treason.

 Journalists were barred from witnessing the proceedings by the operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS).

The EFCC said it discovered several of Diezani's landed properties scattered all over Lagos and other parts of the country in the course of its investigations, adding that it was doubtful if the former minister declared her true assets as required of public officials. MAN IN CUSTODY FOR ASSAULT ON PREGNANT WOMAN February 22, 2017; An Osun Magistrate Court sitting in Ile-Ife has docked one Dayo Adebayo, 29, for alleged assault on a pregnant woman.   The prosecutor, Sunday Osanyintuyi, told the court that the accused committed the offence on February 13, around 11:45 pm at Ehindi Street, Ile-Ife.Osanyintuyi, said Adebayo assaulted the woman named Blessing Monday, by hitting her with his fist across her face, causing various injuries.He added that the offence was contrary to and punishable under section 356 of the Criminal Code (Cap 34 Vol 11), Laws of Osun, 2002. The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the offence leveled against him.Defence counsel, Mrs Innocent Akhigbe, therefore pleaded for the bail of the accused in most Liberal terms, promising that her client would not jump bail and would provide reliable sureties. NIGERIAN NURSE TRIES DRAGGING TEENAGER INTO HIS CAR FOR SEX, FILMS ANOTHER NAKED A cancer nurse tried to drag a 16-year-old girl into his car containing 16 condoms, three tins of Vaseline and a roll of tape, a jury has heard in the U.K. It is alleged Michael Ohaegbu grabbed her off a Hull street last September.  He denies attempted kidnap, assault, and committing an offence with intent to commit a sexual offence. The 42-year-old also pleaded not guilty at Hull Crown Court to three counts of voyeurism, which relate to another complainant.  Ohaegbu, who worked at Castle Hill Hospital, is accused of twice filming the second complainant naked, and once under a table at a restaurant, without her consent between July and August 2016. The court was told, that on 26 September, the teenager was walking along Peel Street after midnight when Mr Ohaegbu tried to kidnap her, allegedly, with the intention of committing a sexual offence. 72-year-old Clarence White who got fed up of his wife complaining about his inability to satisfy her sexually or financially ended up pulling the trigger on her. The man is said to have grabbed a 22-caliber handgun and shot his much-younger wife in the face at their Bronx home on Thursday morning. Sources told the New York Daily News that the shooting followed an argument between White and his 28-year-old wife over her growing dissatisfaction with his inability to satisfy her financially or sexually. Responding officers who were called to the scene found Dominique White around 8:40 a.m. sitting on the floor in a hallway of their home on Glebe Ave. in Parkchester. KOGI GOVERNOR SEEKS ASSEMBLY'S APPROVAL FOR N11 BN SUPPLEMENTARY BUDGET

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state, in a letter to the State House of Assembly, is seeking the approval of a supplementary budget of N11 billion for the 2017 fiscal year. The governor said the budget would take care of certain areas of economic development that were not previously captured.(Kogi state has not recorded any singular form of development since the present government came into existence) Bello stated that the budget would enable his administration to continue to execute its projects and programmes.(EFCC please note) The governor said it will also address security issues and other obvious sectors' challenges that are within and outside the current approved budget. After reading the letter to the House, Speaker Ahmed Imam directed the Majority Leader, Mathew Kolawole to slate it on the order paper for consideration at the next legislative day. The House is expected to consider the governor's request when members resume sitting on 1 August, 2017.
