We brought reports about a man who jumped into the canal under Festac Link Bridge in Lagos.
The young man has been identified as Bayode Ahmed Lawal, an Industrial and Applied Chemistry graduate of Unilorin, Kwara State.
According to Festaconline, the sad event started from Mobil filling station when Bayo laid down on the floor.
He was with some of his friends at this time and they beckoned on him to stand up while trying to find out what was wrong with him.
He stood up and started walking fast before he broke into a run towards the bridge. His friends tried to stop him, chasing him, before they could get hold of him, he had already jumped into the canal.
Some people claimed that he had psychological issues which might have been deduced from his last tweet.

The Benue State government has denied the reports alleging that the consignments containing snakes intercepted by the Nigeria Customs in Calabar belongs to Governor Samuel Ortom. A teenage father with a tattoo covering half his face saying DEVAST8 has cried out over his struggle to get a job. 19 year old Mark Cropp , who was recently released from prison, put a plea out on Facebook saying his facial tattoo was stopping him securing employment. He also said his tattoo which is not gang affiliated- wasn 't planned and was not supposed to be quite as big. He got it a number of months ago while in prison serving a two year and three month sentence in the Otago Correction Facility for aggravated robbery, the NZ Herald reports. Malaysia's High Court heard this week Kim Jong Nam had 12 doses of atropine in his sling bag when he was allegedly swabbed with VX nerve agent in Kuala Lumpur International Airport on February 13, news agency Bernama said.
