Two men are behind bars in connection with an armed robbery in April in which one of them was brandishing a handgun, and the other a stun-gun.

David DeWayne Quinn and Quiney Haroon Perdue are both charged with two counts of first-degree robbery, said Sgt. Bryan Shelton. The robbery happened one week ago - on April 25 - in the 1800 block of Goree Place in southwest Birmingham.
Robbery Sgt. Patrick Crosby said the suspects used Craigslist as if they were selling a vehicle, and the victims were responding to buy that vehicle when they were robbed.

The suspects, police said, were both wearing masks and tried to shatter the driver's side window of the victim's vehicle. One of the victims, who has not been publicly identified, retrieved his own gun and fired one round, hitting Perdue in the arm.

Quinn and Perdue fled the scene, abandoning their vehicle at that location. Quinn was found a short time later walking the streets of a nearby neighborhood, Shelton said. Perdue showed up at UAB Hospital for treatment of his gunshot wound.

Both remain in the Jefferson County Jail with bonds totaling $200,000 each.

Police asked that the public be reminded that the Birmingham Police Administration Building and the Birmingham West Precinct are designated meeting spots for making online trading purchases.
