NIGERIA CUSTOMS HANDS OVER 2 RANGE ROVER CARS STOLEN IN THE USA TO INTERPOL

The Nigeria Customs Service Tincan Island Port Command, on 1st June, 2017, handed over 2 suspected stolen Range Rover SUV to Interpol.

In his narrative while handing over the Range Rovers, the Controller Tincan Island Port, Comptroller Bashar Yusuf disclosed that the interception was sequel to intelligence report from Interpol.

He stated that the vehicles were imported from Washington D.C and declared as Toyota Tundra and Chevrolet Cruiz with some bicycles.

Generally speaking, he was emphatic that the interception will portray the country in good light considering the concerted effort of the service in ensuring that the exhibits were tracked. 

He reiterated the need for Nigerians to desist from acts capable of bringing the country to disrepute, particularly in this era of Information Technology where interception of this nature will be Internet based.

The federal government has approved the closure of five foreign missions and embassies, minister of foreign affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama said. Onyeama told newsmen in Abuja on Thursday, May 25, 2017. The minister, who did not mention the embassies or missions, said the process for closure was underway and was also subject to the approval of the president. "We do not want to indicate the embassies that will be closed yet because we are in the process of submitting the proposals, the cost analysis and also the political analysis we did to the president. "When he sees that, he may or may not want to close some, so we have not yet reached the stage of closing some," he said. A pastor and his wife have been brutally murdered right inside their home as their little daughter watched on quite helplessly. Proud Kanyungwe, a Zimbabwean pastor and his wife, Belinda Tarisai Mukucha have been killed. The pair were shot and killed by two armed robbers in South Africa while their two daughters, one of them aged three years, watched helplessly.
