Mumbai:  The 20-year-old daughter of Chartered Accountant was found dead on railway tracks in Mumbai, the police said today.

Pallavi, the daughter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) president Nilesh Vikamsey, was found in central Mumbai.

She had been missing since last evening, after her classes at a law firm at Fort in south Mumbai where she was doing her internship. She was last seen boarding a local train at the Chhatrapati Shivaji metro station around 6 pm, the police said.

When Pallavi did not return home for hours, her family filed a missing person"s complaint.

After a search, the police found her body on the tracks between Parel and Currey Road station last evening. It was today that Pallavi's relatives confirmed that it was her body, said a senior official.

"We found the body of a woman on tracks between Parel and Currey road yesterday at around 7.30 pm. Today, her relatives confirmed her as Pallavi Vikamsey," said DCP Samadhan Pawar, spokesperson of GRP (Central Railway).

"Prima facie it appears that the girl committed suicide," a police officer said.

For now an accidental death case has been registered.

Pallavi, a law student, was the youngest daughter of Nilesh Vikamsey.

FORMER BBC STUDIO CORDONED OFF AFTER MAN'S BODY WAS DISCOVERED

A man’s body has been discovered on the former BBC studios site in Manchester city centre. The body was found this morning at the building site on Oxford Road, which is currently being transformed into student flats. Greater Manchester Police have been called to the scene and the area has been taped off. Forensics officers have also been seen combing the area. Police are working to establish the circumstances behind the man’s death. The victim is believed to have been discovered by building site staff on Monday morning. It is thought he gained access to the building site over the weekend. A prophet of the Cherubim and Seraphim (C & S) Church in Lagos, Mr. Alimi Isaiah, 55, has been arraigned before the Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan for allegedly being in possession of human skull and a horn. LEEDS, Ala. A 12-year-old girl died Sunday after authorities believe she was accidentally shot by a family member during a gathering in Alabama, according to multiple reports. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office on Monday identified the girl as Kayla Mendenhall, AL.com reported. POLICEMAN MURDERED,RIFFLE STOLEN BY HOODLUMS

Barely one week after a policeman lost his service rifle to unknown gunmen, another policeman has been attacked and killed by unidentified hoodlums in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital. The unnamed policeman was reportedly killed in a beer parlour in the state capital. It was learnt that the hoodlums stole a police AK47 rifle after murdering the policeman at one of the relaxation spots on Hospital Road area.
