JUBILEE MP'S MOTHER DEAD,FATHER,OTHERS BADLY INJURED

Muranga Woman Rep Sabina Chege's parents were involved in a grisly accident in Kandara constituency on Thursday, October 5-Sabina's mother lost her life and her father is in critical condition at the Aga Khan hospital.

County Woman Representative Sabina Wanjiru Chege and her family are in mourning following a tragic accident that claimed her mother's life and left her father admitted to hospital with critical injuries.Information has it that Sabina's parents were heading to Githumu in Muranga when their car collided with a Toyota Noah that was transporting staff from UnaitasSacco.

Muranga County Commander Naomi Ichami said the two cars collided at a sharp bend on Githumu- Kangari road, claiming the life of Sabina's 68-year-old mother, Susan Wairimu on Thursday, October,5th.

Her husband "Chege Mutema, 75, sustained serious injuries from the accident and was taken to Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi. Four others from the second car were also taken to hospital, treated and discharged,"Ichami told theDaily Nation.

Muranga Governor Mwangi wa Iria immediately took to social media to condole with the family.Sabina lost her mother in the accident and her father is in critical condition at the Aga Khan hospital. 

"On behalf of the people of Murang'a and on my own behalf, I extend profound sympathies to the Murang'a County Woman Representative Wanjiru Chege following the untimely demise of her mother,"Mama Susan Wairimu Chege passed on this evening after being involved in a grisly road accident at Githumu. Further,I also wish Wanjiru's father and other survivors of the tragic road carnage fast healing as they continue being accorded medical assistance.

"To my sister Wanjiru; you and your family are in my heart and mind. I offer you my thoughts, prayers and well-wishes during this dark time in your life ,"wrote Wa Iria.

 People fleeing from violence in Central African Republic . Thousands of people have fled their homes as violence continues to engulf the south-eastern city of Bangassou in the Central African Republic (CAR), the UN on said Monday. More than 3,000 people had fled within hours of violence erupting late Friday when members of the mainly-Christian anti-Balaka militia attacked civilians and a UN field office. UN peacekeepers exchanged fire with anti-Balaka Monday, UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said. Dujarric did not comment on reports that militiamen had agreed to leave the city on condition that UN troops stop firing at them. One thousand people are confined in a mosque compound, and around 1500 have sought refuge in a cathedral. Another 500 are hiding out in a hospital in Bangassou, 47 kilometres east of the capital city of Bangui, Dujarric said. Scores of Boko Haram militants were killed on Friday evening during a failed attempt to attack military Barrack in Bama town of Bama local government area of Borno State. DAILY POST learnt that the attackers engaged the military within the hours of 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m., before they were repelled. A security source told DAILY POST that the attackers burnt down one military vehicle and also killed a police officer while retreating after they were overwhelmed by the military. “The Boko Haram elements tried to enter Bama Army barracks but they didn’t succeed; the military killed many of the terrorists,” the source hinted.
