20 couples in South Africa have today chosen a unique and special way to get married—in a mass wedding at Robben Island, Cape Town, on Valentine's Day.

The mass wedding at Robben Island has become a tradition over the past 16 years and is made possible through a partnership between the management at the Island and the South African Department of Home Affairs.
Some of the couples are renewing their views in the colorful event held at the sunny and picturesque island.

The couples are madly in love
Robben Island is famous for being the prison where former South African President, the late Nelson Mandela, was jailed for many years.
However, it has now become a major tourist attraction in the city of Cape Town. Its popularity is cemented in its rich history as well as the annual mass weddings.

Benue State Police Command has busted two kidnap syndicate of 8 including a Gang of 4 allegedly led by a woman believed to be an associate of the wanted militant leader, Terwase Agwaza, aka Gana, who a week ago abducted a businessman. The police operation also led to the arrest of three women whose responsibilities were to provide food for the victims, who was rescued alive. The businessman was kidnapped alongside his son, who was later released to source N20 million as ransom for his father.  The state's Police Commissioner, Bashir Makama, said: "During investigations, we discovered that the lady, who was arrested had the responsibility of pencilling down those to be kidnapped and those to be killed by the gang. They are all associates of Gana, the wanted militant leader. Also arrested, after reliable information, is one Victor Ayanngor, who conspired with Ordue Abraham, Kelvin Dankor and Emmanuel Terver to kidnap his girlfriend and collect N200,000 ransom."

Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, has backed out of his planned talks with the South-East Governors Forum » . The IPOB leader had met with the governors at the Enugu State Government House on August 30, 2017 said his decision was informed by the prevailing situation in the South East. "Accordingly, we will not engage in any meeting with anybody until the atmosphere is conducive and peaceful enough to allow for such, " he said. Many of the farmers and their families had contracted it and many died. The doctor came upon this one farmer and to his surprise, everyone was very healthy. When the doctor asked what the farmer was doing that was different the wife replied that she had placed an unpeeled onion in a dish in the rooms of the home,(probably only two rooms back then). The doctor couldn't believe it and asked if he could have one of the onions and placed it under the microscope. She gave him one and when he did this,he did find the flu virus in the onion.
