White House confirms telephone conversation with Buhari

President Donald Trump of the United States of America, Tuesday confirmed his telephone conversation with President Muhammadu Buhari.

               The White House Press Secretary and Communications Director, Sean Michael Spicer in his introduction of Tuesday’s White House Press Briefing, mentioned that President Trump spoke with President Buhari of Nigeria and Jacob Zuma of South Africa as well as receiving the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau on Monday.
              Recall that President Buhari, Monday afternoon from the United Kingdom spoke to American President Donald Trump on telephone at the request of the latter.
According to President Buhari’s spokesman, Mr Femi Adesina, the conversation was cordial and President Buhari congratulated Trump on his election as president of the United States and on his cabinet.
           He said both leaders discussed ways to improve cooperation in the fight against terrorism through provision of necessary equipment.He said Trump also commended Buhari for the efforts made in rescuing 24 of the Chibok Girls and the efforts of the Nigerian military.

          Recall that human rights group, International Society for Civil Liberties and the Rule of Law (Intersociety), had advised Nigerians not to believe the reported conversation until the US confirms it,well?

Two Seattle police officers were shot Thursday while responding to a robbery at a 7-Eleven, according to the city's police department. The two officers, one male and one female, were brought to the Harborview Medical Center. The hospital tweeted that the male officer was upgraded to serious but stable condition, and that the female officer remained in satisfactory condition. Tragedy as Mechanic in Lagos Kills Sales Boy in Broad Daylight 10/02/2017 The police in Lagos State have launched a manhunt for a mechanic, Fatai Bashiru, for allegedly killing a sales boy, Shedrach Emenike, aka Chiboy, in the Papa Ajao, Mushin area of the state. Punch Metro learnt that Bashiru stabbed the 23-year-old in the armpit and other parts of his body for allegedly scratching a car belonging to his customer. Kogi herbalist to die by hanging for killing 2 brothers A herbal medicine practitioner and ritualist, Ibrahim Mohammed, has been sentenced to death by hanging for killing two brothers in Koton-Karfe area of Kogi State. He was accused of killing two brothers, Muhammed Kudu Abubakar and Umar Tanko. The herbalist was said to have administered poison on them before hitting them on the head with a pestle and then buried their corpses in a shallow grave in his compound. The accused person had earlier pleaded guilty to the charges.
