A beautiful married woman, Mrs Emmanuel Ukwamedua was kidnapped on Friday the 10th of February, 2017 from her home in Asaba.

According to a social media user, Joshua Jesse Kelvin who shared the sad news on Twitter wrote:

“Mrs Emmanuel Ukwamedua was kidnapped on friday the 10/2/2017 at her residence at Asaba. She is yet to be seen. Please RT to save a soul.”

The Benue State government has denied the reports alleging that the consignments containing snakes intercepted by the Nigeria Customs in Calabar belongs to Governor Samuel Ortom. It described it as another desperate smear campaign by members of the opposition. Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Terver Akase Mr Akase said the report published on social media by some opposition elements had once more brought to the fore the sponsored publications to attack the person of the Governor in order to distract him from continued delivery of good governance to the people of the state. The Nigerian government has reacted to the killing of a Nigerian identified as Rasak Alao in South Africa. Recall that the Nigerian man, an auto mechanic, was on Thursday killed in South Africa after he was attacked alongside other Nigerians in Polokwane, Limpopo Province in South Africa. Reports indicated that the men were attacked following suspicions that they were into drug trafficking. Rasak Alao whose car was burnt lost his life in the attack which was carried out on him and five other Nigerians. In reaction, the Federal government issued a statement condemning the act and repeated attack on Nigerian nationals living in the country.
