A Georgia man has been charged with murder after allegedly being involved in a fatal gun fight over a cellphone that was caught on harrowing surveillance video.
De’Andre Malik Thomas, 20, turned himself into police on Friday afternoon in connection with the Thursday shooting death of Kareem Mano, 25.
Mano, who was a recent father to a one-month-old baby boy, was shot at multiple times as he ran away from Thomas outside of the USA Grocery Store in Bloomfield, police say. He died at the scene from a gunshot to the chest.

Bibb County Sheriff David Davis said Thomas and Mano had argued about a cellphone that the accused killer allegedly sold to the sister of Mano’s girlfriend, The News Tribune reported.

The girlfriend reportedly told police that the phone was locked and it couldn’t be used, so her sister wanted her money back.

Thomas allegedly fired a gun into the air and yelled, ‘it’s jugg season b****,’ which is a a possible reference to stealing, the newspaper reported. Mano reportedly told the woman, ‘don’t worry about it. I’ll handle it.’

Police say Thomas and Mano agreed to meet at in the parking lot of the store on Thursday to discuss the issue.

Video from a surveillance camera outside of the store shows two men appearing to argue, as one of the men identified as Mano is holding a gun in one hand while wearing a blue backpack. The two men then appear to argue with each other for a few minutes until Mano is seen tucking his gun into his waistband.


Moments later, the man wearing a red shirt, who police say is Thomas, quickly pulls out a gun and begins firing at Mano. Mano tries to run away as multiple shots appear to be fired at him as he is being chased allegedly by Thomas in the graphic video.

The video then shows Mano running towards a gas station pump, until he slows down and collapses to the ground behind a white Ford SUV.

The man wearing the red shirt immediately flees the scene, as the driver of the Ford SUV gets out and runs to help Mano before the video ends.

  Four suspected internet fraudsters have been arrested in Benin City, Edo State, by the Nigeria police and have been handed over to the Economic and Financial Crimes commission,EFCC. The EFCC in a statement issued on Tuesday gave the names of the suspects as Shiko Romeo, Bobby Edigiu, Henry Nisike and Emmanuel Ayo. The suspects, according to the EFCC, have reportedly confessed to their involvement in internet fraud using fake identification on Facebook. Their victims were mostly European and American women, the statement said. The EFCC said one of the suspects, Mr. Romeo, who claimed to be a student of the National Open University, NOUN, has revealed how he scammed the duo of K. Zamaripas and Susan of various sums of money by feigning to be in a romantic relationship using the name John Culfer in New Jersey, United States. The suspects would be charged to court at the end of the investigation, the EFCC said.

Man fights armed robber for stealing girlfriend's phone, collects gun A suspected armed robber, Michael David, has been arrested by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Lagos State, after he robbed a lady, identified simply as Kate, of her phone. It has been reported that a Cameroon international kicked the bucket after an alleged romantic encounter with a woman who hails from the Niger Delta region.
