Security Operatives Arrest Foreign Terrorists Working With Boko Haram In Gombe State

Yesterday afternoon, Nigerian Army troops in conjunction with elements of Department of State Services (DSS) after painstaking effort of tracking arrested 3 suspected Chadian Boko Haram terrorists that belonged to Albaranawi faction, in Gombe, Gombe State.
The 3 Chadian terrorists suspects, Bilal Muhammed Umar, Bashir Muhammed and Muhammed Maigari Abubakar were arrested at Arawa and Mallam Inna Areas of Gombe metropolis. They were reported to be members of Albarnawi faction of the Boko Haram that operates in Chad and mostly northern part of Borno State but came to Gombe State for another heinous assignment.
During the operation, one of them, Bilal Muhammed Umar attempted to escape and was shot on the leg. He was however apprehended and is receiving medical treatment.

The terrorists were also arrested with Improvised Explosive Device (IED), materials that they could have coupled and attack parts of the State.
The suspects are in custody undergoing preliminary investigation.

2 BRAZILIANS NABBED WITH 23KG OF COCAINE AT THE LAGOS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

        Officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos have arrested two Brazilians who together attempted to smuggle over 23kg of cocaine into the country.         Dias Dos Santos Marcia Cristina, 36, was found with 9.4kg of cocaine in her bag and Lima Pereira Erick Diego, 20, had 14.465kg of cocaine in his bag. The duo, who traveled from São Paulo, claimed to be tourists.        Mitchell Ofoyeju, spokesperson for NDLEA, said in a statement that the drugs were carefully hidden in food cans inside their luggage. The cocaine has an estimated street value of N310 million.       Mr. Ofoyeju said that it was the first the NDLEA arrested Brazilians with cocaine at the Lagos airport. The Lagos State police command has arrested two Uber drivers, Fosta Rufus, 30, and Franklin Jogbodo, who specialize in robbing women of their valuables at gunpoint in Lagos. While parading the suspects before newsmen at the state police command in Ikeja, the state commissioner of police, Edgal Imohimi, said the men attacked women who they pick up around the Lekki, Ajah and Victoria Island areas of the state. Some school children have suffered irreparable harm after a lorry ploughed straight into them on the road. Three children have been killed and two others seriously injured after a lorry ploughed into them near a school, Daily Star UK reports. Authorities on Monday confirmed that 300 people died after twin bomb explosions in Mogadishu, as locals packed hospitals in search of friends and relatives caught up in Somalia's deadliest attack in a decade. Abdikadir Abdirahman, director city ambulance service, told Reuters on Monday that the death toll has steadily risen since Saturday, when the blasts, for which no organisation had claimed responsibility by Monday morning, struck at two busy junctions in the heart of the city.
