Security Operatives Arrest Foreign Terrorists Working With Boko Haram In Gombe State

Yesterday afternoon, Nigerian Army troops in conjunction with elements of Department of State Services (DSS) after painstaking effort of tracking arrested 3 suspected Chadian Boko Haram terrorists that belonged to Albaranawi faction, in Gombe, Gombe State.
The 3 Chadian terrorists suspects, Bilal Muhammed Umar, Bashir Muhammed and Muhammed Maigari Abubakar were arrested at Arawa and Mallam Inna Areas of Gombe metropolis. They were reported to be members of Albarnawi faction of the Boko Haram that operates in Chad and mostly northern part of Borno State but came to Gombe State for another heinous assignment.
During the operation, one of them, Bilal Muhammed Umar attempted to escape and was shot on the leg. He was however apprehended and is receiving medical treatment.

The terrorists were also arrested with Improvised Explosive Device (IED), materials that they could have coupled and attack parts of the State.
The suspects are in custody undergoing preliminary investigation.

The Zamfara State Police Command on Wednesday intercepted two vehicles carrying arms in different parts of the state. The spokesman of the command, Muhammad Shehu, confirmed the development in Gusau. DETECTIVES of Delta State Police Command investigating the September 5 ambush of bank officials and policemen on the Benin-Asaba Expressway by bandits, who carted away N25 million from a bullion van, have apprehended and detained an Inspector and three other policemen, said to be on illegal escort duty. The meeting of the Federal Executive Council that holds every Wednesday did not hold yesterday. Yesterday would have afforded President Muhammadu Buhari who returned to the country on Saturday the opportunity of presiding over the council meeting for the first time in over three months. The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, disclosed in a statement that the meeting would not hold. Adesina did not however disclose the reason behind the decision to cancel the meeting. 2 ARMED ROBBERS SHOT DEAD DURING GUN BATTLE WITH POLICE

Two armed robbers were reportedly shot dead in a gun battle with the Kano State Police command and gang of robbers who shot a Police Patrol vehicle along Kano/Zaria road at a point close to Garun Mallam Village arrested. This was revealed in a statement signed by the command 's spokesperson , DSP . Magaji Musa Majia . A bloody clash between the army and police in Nigeria's restive northeastern Yobe state on Wednesday left one soldier and three police dead, a security source told AFP.  The police confirmed the fracas in the state capital of Damaturu, but did not say if there were casualties.  "The Nigeria police force is abreast of the unfortunate incident that occurred in the early hours of today 12th April, 2017 in Damaturu between the personnel of the force and that of the Nigerian army," police spokesman Jimoh Moshood said in a statement.  He said an investigation had been launched to determine "the causes of the incident and deal with the situation appropriately to prevent such occurrence in the future".  The army authorities were not immediately available for comment.
