Singer Muma Gee has filed for divorce from husband, Nollywood actor Prince Eke.
The pair’s marriage hit the rocks last month after the actor took to social media to announce that his marriage was over.
In a fresh Instagram post on Saturday, the actor shared a picture of himself, his mother and his three children.
“If infidelity, adultery and certain fetish activities does NOT make you RESTLESS ..then prepare to REST IN PEACE,” said the post’s caption.
Don Saint, publicist of the singer, said she interpreted the caption to be a death threat and had made an official report to the Nigerian police.
Saint said his client had repeatedly suffered domestic violence and battery from her estranged husband.
He said one of such incidents “led to their break up on the night of the 5th of November 2016, before he packed out of their house into a hotel next street to their home in Port Harcourt, and with all sorts of false allegations to assassinate her character.”
Muma Gee had in a recent interview with Hip TV said she devoted the last six years to her marriage.
She had said, “I got married and became a full time house wife for 6 years. I gave the marriage all my life, all my time, but if the persons involved are restless a bit, you can’t be in control.”
Prince Eke and Muma Gee have three children from their 6-year union.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC) on Tuesday paraded a 17-year-old Boko Haram suspect, who admitted killing 18 people since he joined the group three years ago.  The suspect, Ali Mustafa, said he was forced to join the deadly group when Boko Haram terrorists attacked his village in Monguno and left with many boys. The suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), David Babachir Lawal, on Tuesday appeared before the Yemi Osinbajo-led panel, where he answered questions over the alleged violations of due process in the award of contracts under the Presidential Initiative on the North East (PINE). Lawal arrived the Presidential Villa around 1pm and was ushered before the Vice President. He left at 3.35pm. The panel had on Monday grilled the suspended Director-General of the National Inteligence Agency (NIA), Ambassador Ayo Oke. Oke was suspended over the recovery of $43million from a Lagos apartment, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The panel went through documents and quizzed some officials during the 11-hour sesssion that began at 10am. Police in Sao Paulo have foiled the world’s biggest bank robbery after discovering a well constructed 500-metre tunnel, complete with lighting, ventilation and rail tracks, leading from a rented house to the vaults of the Bank of Brazil. Daily Trust reports that the ex-president took the train of celebration to some public-school students at his Ibogun village, near Ifo, Ogun state. He was spotted in a reading session with them. This is part of activities to mark his 80th birthday celebrations. Deadly bomb blast hits church in Egypt At least 21 people have been killed and dozens wounded in a bomb attack on a church north of Cairo. Islamist extremists have targeted Christian members of the Coptic Church in the past. The explosion went off inside a Coptic Christian church in the city of Tanta north of Cairo as worshippers were celebrating Palm Sunday. Egyptian state media reported 21 people had been killed and a further 38 wounded.   Footage from CBC TV from inside the Mar Girgis (St George's) Coptic Church showed dead bodies covered with papers. Coptic Christians make up about 10 percent of Egypt's population and are regularly the target of Islamist extremists. Palm Sunday is one of the holiest days of the Christian calendar, marking the triumphant entrance of Jesus to the city of Jerusalem.
