Suspected Ritualists Behead and Cut Off Woman’s Private Part in Imo State

 Suspected ritualists allegedly beheaded a young girl, and took away her private parts for rituals in Amanwaozuzu community at Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State.

According to Punch, the girl who is yet to be identified is in her early twenties. Her body was found on the road without private parts along Okpala Iho – Atta road in the area. Eyewitnesses said the incident happened on Saturday but no one knows the people who executed the murder.

“Nobody could narrate what transpired.The people woke up on Saturday morning and saw a beheaded body without private parts lying on the Amanwaozuzu – Ogwa road.On reaching there,it was discovered that it was a young girl,” one of the sources said.

According to them, nobody could identify the victim because her head had been chopped off.The body of the girl was later evacuated by security agents.

According to him, the people were living in the fear of the beheading and the taking away of the victim’s genital organs and breasts, adding that a state of panic had engulfed the community.

The operatives of Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command on Monday last week nabbed two teenagers fleeing the Abuja abodes of their parents and re-united them with the parents on Friday. EFCC ARRAIGNS SAN,EX MINISTER ON MONEY LAUNDERING CHARGES

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday arraigned a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Mohammed Dele Belgore at the Federal High Court in Lagos for alleged money laundering. Himself and a former minister of National Planning Prof Abubakar Suleiman before Justice Mohammed Aikawa were arraigned on a five-count charge. EFCC accused them of conspiring to directly take possession of the N450million, which they reasonably ought to have known forms part of the proceeds of an unlawful act. The commission said they committed the alleged offense on March 27, 2015, contrary to Section 18(a) of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) (Amendment) Act, 2012. In the second count, EFCC said they "directly took possession of the sum." In the third count, the defendants were accused of conspiring to make cash payment of N450million, which "exceeded the amount authorized by law without going through financial institution."
