ANOTHER MAN ATTEMPTS SUICIDE,FAILS,RESCUED AND TAKEN IN

A 45 year old man has been rescued after he allegedly attempted to commit suicide by jumping into a well at a residence in Kujore street in the Ojota area of Lagos state yesterday April 25th.

 Men of the Lagos state Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) were alerted at about 6am this morning after the man jumped into the 116 feet well.He was taken to the hospital for treatment by officials of the Lagos State Ambulance Service.

 Sources said the man, whose name is not identified yet, was found inside the 116ft well, but the process leading to the event could not be ascertained.

 Officials of the Lagos State Fire Service, LASEMA Response Team and other emergency respondents, however, responded to the situation and rescued the man alive from the well.

 Though the man sustained  fracture on his right hand and left knee joint dislocation he has been moved to hospital for treatment by the officials of the Lagos Ambulance Service.

 The General Manager LASEMA, Adesina Tiamiyu, who noted that proper investigation would be conducted on the incident, also advised Lagosians to report any strange activities around their environment to the relevant agencies or call the 767/112 emergency toll free number.

Man allegedly chops off pregnant woman’s hand A man, who was engaged in a fight with his neighbour in Isaba-Ekiti, allegedly chopped off the left wrist of a pregnant woman, Aisha Adam, with a cutlass. A News Agency of Nigeria correspondent, who visited the pregnant woman and mother of four on her hospital bed on Monday, reports that the left hand of the victim was cut off from the wrist. A nurse has become the first in a wheelchair to work on the frontline of the NHS.Michelle Quested, 33, lost the use of her legs in a car accident seven years ago. But the dedicated nurse was determined not to let her disability get in the way of her clinical work at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. The suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), David Babachir Lawal, on Tuesday appeared before the Yemi Osinbajo-led panel, where he answered questions over the alleged violations of due process in the award of contracts under the Presidential Initiative on the North East (PINE). Lawal arrived the Presidential Villa around 1pm and was ushered before the Vice President. He left at 3.35pm. The panel had on Monday grilled the suspended Director-General of the National Inteligence Agency (NIA), Ambassador Ayo Oke.
