GOVERNOR AYO FAYOSE DECLARES EKITI PART OF THE ANTICIPATED BIAFRA REPUBLIC

Fayose Declares Ekiti State Part of Biafra

Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose has declared that his state is now part of Biafra,Dailypost reports.

 Speaking to newsmen, during the bail hearing of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, at the Federal High Court that sat in Abuja on Tuesday.

 “Ekiti State is now part of Biafra,” he declared.

 This is the first time Fayose is openly showing support for the movement, which is agitating for a breakaway of the South-East from the Nigeria.

 Kanu has been granted bail on health grounds .The IPOB leader is also expected to provide three sureties one of whom must be a serving Senator, a Jewish religious leader and highly respected person, who own land anywhere in Abuja.

 The bail bond has been set at N100million for each surety.

 Kanu was also ordered never to grant any interviews to the press, pending the outcome of his trial. He will not be seen in a gathering of more than 10 people.

 Justice Binta Nyako made it clear that Kanu’s bail will be revoked, if any of the orders are flouted.

 However, the other accused persons were denied bail. According to Justice Nyako, treasonable felony – the charges against them is a serious offence against the state.

​The Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has today revealed the location of the ark of Noah which every archeologist has been looking for over the years. According to the Ooni, the ark is in Ile-Ife and it is there because ‘everything started in Africa’. A severely anorexic 15-year-old girl stepped in front of a train five days after being released from a psychiatric hospital, an inquest heard. I prefer to remain in prison as maid rejects freedom in court Feb 22nd 2017,          A 26-year-old house maid, Mary Atte, arrested and charged before Isolo Magistrate's court and remanded in prison for stealing her boss' N2m,  has refused to leave prison, Pmexpress reports. .   She reportedly said she preferred to stay there in good faith, insisting that the prison condition was far better for her than when she was outside and would continue to remain there for her comfort. Atte made the confession when her matter was struck out for lack of diligent prosecution, by the presiding Magistrate, Mrs A.K. LOS ANGELES –  A missing 5-year-old boy's father has been released from jail in an unexpected twist that only deepens the mystery behind the boy's disappearance. Investigators on Tuesday decided against presenting the case to prosecutors and moving forward with charges against Aramazd Andressian Sr., who was found unconscious Saturday at a South Pasadena park. His son, Armazd Andressian Jr., was nowhere to be found and remains missing four days later. Andressian Sr. was arrested later Saturday on suspicion of child endangerment and abduction and was being held on $10 million bail before his release Tuesday. Authorities would say only that the investigation was continuing, and would not say whether the father remains a suspect. On Tuesday authorities searched Cachuma Lake in Santa Barbara County, but now don't believe the boy was there.

GAY MARRIAGE;53 ATTENDEES OF A GAY MARRIAGE IN KADUNA ARRESTED

Police, yesterday, arraigned 53 persons, who were allegedly arrested during a gay marriage, before a magistrate’s court in Chediya-Zaria, Kaduna State. The prosecutor, Mannir Nasir, said the accused were arrested on April 15 at a motel and were being charged for conspiracy, unlawful assembly and belonging to a gang of unlawful society. He said the offences contravened Sections 97, 100 and 197(a) of Criminal Procedure Code, CPC. According to Nasir, “on April 15, at about 9p.m., a team of policemen, led by DSP Muhammad Lawal-Mashi, arrested and brought to the police station 53 persons.” The accused persons, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges, and their counsel, Yunusa Umar, asked the court to release them on bail in line with sections 35 (4) and 36 (5) of the Constitution.
