FEDERAL HIGH COURT DISMISSES SENATOR DINO"S LAWSUIT,ASKS INEC TO CONTINUE HIS RECALL

Seems like the plot by Senator Dino Melaye"s political enemies(amongst whom is the non performing governor of Kogi state,Yahaya Bello) is gaining ground as a Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday dismissed the suit by Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, challenging the validity of the process of recalling him by his constituents.
Justice Nnamdi Dimgba, in his judgment, ordered that the Independent National Electoral Commission “shall proceed with the recall process”.

The judgment effectively terminated the earlier ex parte order made by another judge of the Federal High Court in Abuja, Justice John Tsoho, on July 6, 2017, directing parties to maintain status quo.
But the Justice Dimgba, to whom the case was reassigned, ordered that the process shall only proceed with the recall process, subject to the service of the petition, the full list and signatures of persons in support of the recall process.

CULTISM ; 10 KILLED AS RIVAL CULT GROUPS CLASH

There was pandemonium in some part of Akure, the Ondo State capital   on Monday   night following the killing of no fewer than ten people by suspected cult members . LEADERSHIP investigation revealed that no fewer than ten suspected cultists had been murdered in the last three days when rival groups engaged gunfire on themselves. It was also learnt that the rival cult groups, Eiye and Aiye confraternity have been at logger head in the last few days. TERRORIST ATTACK;2 KILLED AS FIVE TERRORISTS SURRENDER

Two persons have been confirmed dead with three others seriously injured following an ambush by suspected Boko Haram terrorists along Damaturu, Biu road Sunday afternoon. A military source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, disclosed that the insurgents had buried IEDs along the highway. It was gathered that the travelers, who took off from Damaturu on their way to Biu, were ambushed some 60 kilometres to their destination. According to the source, the militants opened fire indiscriminately on the travelers and that in an attempt to escape, the IEDs went off killing two persons on the spot. Another report said three people injured from the attack were rushed to the Damaturu specialists' hospital by security forces on patrol along the road.
