FEDERAL HIGH COURT DISMISSES SENATOR DINO"S LAWSUIT,ASKS INEC TO CONTINUE HIS RECALL

Seems like the plot by Senator Dino Melaye"s political enemies(amongst whom is the non performing governor of Kogi state,Yahaya Bello) is gaining ground as a Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday dismissed the suit by Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, challenging the validity of the process of recalling him by his constituents.
Justice Nnamdi Dimgba, in his judgment, ordered that the Independent National Electoral Commission “shall proceed with the recall process”.

The judgment effectively terminated the earlier ex parte order made by another judge of the Federal High Court in Abuja, Justice John Tsoho, on July 6, 2017, directing parties to maintain status quo.
But the Justice Dimgba, to whom the case was reassigned, ordered that the process shall only proceed with the recall process, subject to the service of the petition, the full list and signatures of persons in support of the recall process.

A former Nigerian soldier who specializes in kidnapping rich women for ransom has finally been arrested by security operatives. A suspected kidnapper, Saliu Tola, has confessed before security operatives that he specialised in abducting rich ladies for ransom. Tola, a former soldier, was arrested in Asaba, Delta State by the police for alleged involvement in a series of abductions. While confessing to the crime, he said: “My victims have always been females. I have never gone for my kind. I kidnap valuable girls, ladies and women and this has never failed us. I resigned as a soldier to concentrate on kidnapping.” The 53-year-old suspect was one of the more than 173 others arrested for armed robbery, kidnapping and cultism. Saudi police shoot dead IS suspect MARCH 8TH 2017,          Police in Saudi Arabia said Wednesday they shot dead a member of the Islamic State group in the capital, the latest suspected jihadist to be killed by security forces. A 40-year-old man, Stephen Akpata, has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend, Onyinye Faustina Eze, to death at the Kpansia suburb of Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital. Briefing newsmen at the headquarters of the Bayelsa Police Command in Yenagoa, the state Police Commissioner, Asuquo Amba, said the suspect, who fled to Gbana last month after committing the crime, was apprehended two weeks later in Lagos by security operatives on his trail. A man has been arrested by the Egyptian police after he allegedly admitted to beating his 85-year-old mother to death because his wife complained about her. Zeinab as-Sayyid Mahfouz died at a hospital in Alexandria on September 15 after what many speculated to be domestic violence.
