POLICE ARREST 4 INTERNET FRAUDSTERS,EFCC TAKES CHARGE

Four suspected internet fraudsters have been arrested in Benin City, Edo State, by the Nigeria police and have been handed over to the Economic and Financial Crimes commission,EFCC.
The EFCC in a statement issued on Tuesday gave the names of the suspects as Shiko Romeo, Bobby Edigiu, Henry Nisike and Emmanuel Ayo.

The suspects, according to the EFCC, have reportedly confessed to their involvement in internet fraud using fake identification on Facebook.
Their victims were mostly European and American women, the statement said.
The EFCC said one of the suspects, Mr. Romeo, who claimed to be a student of the National Open University, NOUN, has revealed how he scammed the duo of K. Zamaripas and Susan of various sums of money by feigning to be in a romantic relationship using the name John Culfer in New Jersey, United States.
The suspects would be charged to court at the end of the investigation, the EFCC said.

Man fights armed robber for stealing girlfriend's phone, collects gun A suspected armed robber, Michael David, has been arrested by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Lagos State, after he robbed a lady, identified simply as Kate, of her phone. PUNCH Metro gathered that 22-year-old David and two other members of his gang, while armed with a locally-made double-barrelled pistol, attacked Kate and her boyfriend, one Desmond, on Close 26, Satellite Town, Ijegun, around 10pm. They were said to have taken Kate's mobile phone and threatened to shoot the couple dead if they resisted. The gang had allegedly mounted a waiting motorcycle and were about speeding off when Desmond summoned courage and attacked the men. Expat couple arrested in Abu Dhabi for sex outside marriage ( Sex outside of marriage is illegal in Abu Dhabi ) MARCH 9TH 2017, A n expatriate couple have been detained in Abu Dhabi for almost six weeks after being arrested for having sex outside of marriage.  South African Emlyn Culverwell, 29, took his 27-year-old Ukrainian fiancée, Iryna Nohai, to a medical centre in the UAE city after she developed stomach cramps. CAMEROONIAN DIES IN ALLEGED NIGERIAN LOVER'S HOUSE

It has been reported that a Cameroon international kicked the bucket after an alleged romantic encounter with a woman who hails from the Niger Delta region. The 37-year-old Cameroonian man died in yet-to-be-ascertained circumstances in the home of his alleged lover in Ogboinbiri community of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. The death of the Cameroonian man, identified simply as Dr. Charles, a patent medicine dealer, on Tuesday, has, however, stirred controversies. Some indigenes of Ogboinbiri community claimed the Cameroonian died after an alleged sexual encounter with his unnamed 35-year-old lover, said to be an indigene of the community. Youths and traders protest customs invasion of rice warehouse Feb 23rd 2017; Some youths and traders have brought activities and vehicular movement on the ever busy Lagos-Abeokuta expressway to a halt, following a protest over alleged invasion of the rice market by men of the Nigerian Customs Service.The protest which was said to have lasted for hours, took the intervention of the Sango Ota Police Area Commander, Adegoke Fayoade, to restore normalcy to the area. Meanwhile, the Customs Public Relations Officer, Federal Operation Unit, Jerry Attah, dismissed the claims of market invasion, explaining that men of the command on surveillance noticed smugglers were moving rice in bulk on motorcycles from a canoe to a store in the area. He added that the command only evacuated some of the alleged smuggled rice at the warehouse in the early hours of Wednesday.The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said normal activities have been restored to the area.

The suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), David Babachir Lawal, on Tuesday appeared before the Yemi Osinbajo-led panel, where he answered questions over the alleged violations of due process in the award of contracts under the Presidential Initiative on the North East (PINE). Lawal arrived the Presidential Villa around 1pm and was ushered before the Vice President. He left at 3.35pm. The panel had on Monday grilled the suspended Director-General of the National Inteligence Agency (NIA), Ambassador Ayo Oke.
