Statements from Burjeel Hospital in Abu Dhabi have revealed that the former fattest woman in the world, Eman Abdul Atti, has died as a result of Kidney dysfunction and heart disease.

It should be noted that doctors blamed her big weight on a thyroid condition that she had and she was not able to leave her house for 25 years before she was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The 37-year-old woman who at a point weighed about 1,100lbs arrived the UAE in May after she received care from a team of twenty doctors from the hospital.

Before her death, she had also received medical treatment in India where she underwent surgery and was able to lose about 600lbs.

Her sister, Saimma Selim said in July that the deceased had planned to reduce her weight to 15 stone.

Originally, she had a gastric band fitted in India, but the doctors refused to care for her after the procedure and her family had taken her to to the largest private hospital in Abu Dhabi where she was planning to speak at schools after the completion of her treatment.
Unfortunately, she died in the hospital.
