COURT REMANDS 14 PRO BIAFRA GROUP MEMBERS

An Aba Magistrate Court has remanded 14 suspected members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) for arson and murder.

The Police had arrested IPOB members after clashing with soldiers in the Southeast, where a police sergeant was also allegedly killed by members of the group.

IPOB members were also alleged to have burnt down two mosques in Aba.

The suspects were arraigned on an 8-count charge which includes the murder of ASP Cyril Nwosu,the burning of the Ariaria Police station and exhibit vehicles as well as theft of pump action rifle belonging to the Police.

Prosecuting counsel, ASP Nnamdi Ogbonna, held that the court has jurisdiction to make an order on the matter and pleaded with the court to commence the trial.

The presiding Magistrate, Ogbonna Adiele, directed the Police to submit the case file to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), thereby adjourning the case to October 4, 2017, for report on compliance

David Adeleke, otherwise known as Davido, has removed Osogbo, Osun state from his 8-city Back To Basics 2017 Tour.According to him, Osun state will never be the same after his late uncle’s death.  Senator Isiaka Adeleke, the first executive governor of Osun state, reportedly died on Sunday as a result of an overdose of pain killers. 3 SUSPECTED THIEVES ARRESTED AT THE LAGOS HIGH COURT

File Photo The Police at the Lion Building Division, Lagos Island, Lagos have arrested three suspected thieves who allegedly jumped into the High Court premises at Igbosere Road on Lagos Island at midnight with dangerous weapons to steal. The suspects, according to a Police source could not succeed in their plans before the Police stormed the scene to arrest them and took them to the station following a distress call to the Police by the securitymen attached to the Court. The suspects were arraigned before an Igbosere Magistrate Court on a three-count charge of felony with attempt to commit felony at the High Court, Lagos. John Cena sold his new Ford GT car, but the company was not happy with his move. Ford is taking legal actions by suing the "American Grit" star for violating their contract by selling his new $500k 2017 Ford GT. According to the lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court in Michigan, Cena was "selected from thousands of applicants for the opportunity to purchase the Ford GT," TMZ reported. It has been reported that a Cameroon international kicked the bucket after an alleged romantic encounter with a woman who hails from the Niger Delta region. The 37-year-old Cameroonian man died in yet-to-be-ascertained circumstances in the home of his alleged lover in Ogboinbiri community of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
