The Lagos State Police Command has said it is aware of the nationwide protest to be led by Music legend Innocent Idibia popularly known as 2Baba on February 5.
The State Police Commissioner, Fatai Owoseni disclosed this on Monday while addressing journalists in Lagos.
In his address on the protest, the police chief said although his command is yet to be officially notified, he assured that the police would not allow unscrupulous elements to hijack the protest.

Egypt on Thursday blocked 21 websites, including Qatari news network Al Jazeera and Islamist-affiliated platforms, following in the footsteps of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Among those blocked since Wednesday evening is the website of the now-banned Muslim Brotherhood, Ikhwan Online, according to a report in the privately owned Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper. All websites blocked contain material that “support terrorism and extremism as well as publish lies,” a security source was quoted as saying. The Arabic edition of the Huffington Post was blocked, although the English-language version was accessible. The independent Cairo-based Mada Masr was another site blocked. Stranger than fiction as DEMONS burn down over 20 houses in Western Kenya March 10th, 2017 Kenyans were stunned when a fire burned down 25 homes in Kaibei, Trans Nzoia county on Thursday, March 9. Police say 43-year-old Trinidad Bueno-Sanchez of North Chicago, a married man with a 6-year-old child, did everything right when trying to sell his cellphone. Using OfferUp, he found a potential buyer who expressed interest in purchasing his iPhone 6 for $450, and agreed to meet them in the parking lot of a Meijer store in Round Lake Beach the evening of April 24.
