EFCC arraigns INEC officials for collecting bribe from Diezani Madueke to rig 2015 election




The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC on Wednesday arraigned three officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for allegedly taking bribes from ex-Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke to compromise the 2015 general elections.

According to the anti-graft agency, the accused persons, Christian Nwosu, Yisa Adedoyin and Tijani Bashir, allegedly collected the bribe from the former Minister on March 27, 2015.


They were arraigned on seven counts before the Federal High Court in Lagos.

Diezani,who is thought to be in the UK was charged along with them.
