JAILED: NIGERIAN PREDATOR PRETENDING TO BE A 17-YR-OLD AFRICAN PRINCE, TO SEXUALLY ASSAULT TEEN GIRLS




A “predator” who groomed two teenage girls online before sexually assaulting them has been jailed for 7 years. Taheeb Udusole, 27, met his victims on social media while pretending to be a 17-year-old boy called, Daniel, who was rich due to his father being an African king. 

 The unemployed Nigerian offered the girls, aged 14 and 15, gifts and money while he sent taxis to collect them and bring them near his home in south-east London. The victims, who did not know each other, both thought that ‘Daniel’ was their boyfriend and made their allegations to police independently.

 Udosole was arrested last May and on Monday pleaded guilty at Snaresbrook Crown Court to one count of sexual activity with a 14-year-old and two with a 15-year-old. .

 He also received a Sexual Harm Prevention Order [SOPO] and will be deported at the end of his sentence. Detective Sergeant Laura Hillier, the investigating officer, said: “Taheeb Udusole is a predator who claimed that he believed the girls were adult because neither arrived in school uniform. 

 Both girls had told Udusole their age and he continued to force them to have sex regardless. Unaware that they were victims, these girls have gone through a traumatic experience and should be proud of the strength of character they have shown during the investigation and approaching trial. 

 I hope that today’s sentence brings them a measure of comfort and closure and that they can move on with their lives. We cannot be certain that there are not more victims who have suffered from the actions of this man who have not yet come forward. I would urge anyone who has been a victim to contact police immediately by dialling 101.”

A herdsman carrying a gun Herdsmen armed with guns killed 20 farmers and injured eight other people in a mosque in Niger state over the weekend, police said on Monday. Fighting over land use between semi-nomadic cattle herders and more settled communities, claims hundreds of lives yearly in the middle belt and in northern Nigeria. Last year, the government said preventing attacks was a security priority. Bala Elkana, a spokesman for Niger state police, said the attack happened at about 05:00 a.m. (0400 GMT) on Saturday at Epogi community, in the Mokwa area of the state. “It was a clash between farmers and herders which had been initially handled but some herders felt unsatisfied and … they launched a reprisal attack on some villagers praying in a mosque,” Elkana said. A man’s leg was ‘nearly severed’ during a machete attack in north Manchester. The victim also suffered serious head injuries when he was slashed with the weapon at an address on Kingscliffe Street, Harpurhey , on Thursday afternoon. Months after an initial interception, another container filled with arms has been discovered at the Tin Can Island Port in Lagos, the Nigeria Customs has declared on Tuesday. A source at the port said the container was found at the Ports and Cargo Terminal of the Tin Can Island Ports. “As I speak to you, they’ve ordered everyone to go out of the terminal and they have locked up everywhere,” the source said. The spokesperson of the Nigeria Customs, Tin Can Island Command, Uche Ejesieme, confirmed the incident and said details would be made public later. “We are still counting,” Mr. Ejesieme told Premium Times over the phone.
