TERRORIST'S EX-WIFE ARRESTED

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC) says it has arrested the former wife of Mamman Nur,a factional Boko Haram leader in Borno state.Ibrahim Abdullahi, NSCDC commandant in the state, disclosed this while speaking with reporters on Tuesday.

He said his men arrested two female suspects in Maiduguri, the state capital, on Friday. Abdullahi said at first they were suspected to be suicide bombers but that findings revealed that the two suspects were from Sambisa forest, and were heading to Kangarwa camp to meet the factional leader of the sect. 

“One of the suspect claimed that she is the ex-wife of the factional Boko Haram leader,” he said. “They said they escaped from a camp in Sambisa forest after Nigerian troops attack the terrorists.” 

Abdullahi said the suspects were abandoned by the Boko Haram commander who asked them to wait in Maiduguri pending the time he would provide them accommodation.

MAN IN CUSTODY FOR ASSAULT ON PREGNANT WOMAN February 22, 2017; An Osun Magistrate Court sitting in Ile-Ife has docked one Dayo Adebayo, 29, for alleged assault on a pregnant woman.   The prosecutor, Sunday Osanyintuyi, told the court that the accused committed the offence on February 13, around 11:45 pm at Ehindi Street, Ile-Ife.Osanyintuyi, said Adebayo assaulted the woman named Blessing Monday, by hitting her with his fist across her face, causing various injuries.He added that the offence was contrary to and punishable under section 356 of the Criminal Code (Cap 34 Vol 11), Laws of Osun, 2002. A  mild drama played out at the Plateau State orientation camp of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in the Mangu area of the state as two newly sworn-in corps members were reportedly caught having sex inside a gutter. The randy corps members are among the many young graduates that were recently sworn in for the Batch A Stream 1 for the compulsory one year national service. According to multiple online reports, the incident happened in the early hours of Tuesday, May 30, 2017 when some camp soldiers on parade walked in on the duo in the middle of a heated sexcapade. The man blamed the devil for pushing him into the act while the woman who is reportedly married blamed the cold weather of the state for pushing her into the act. The woman whose identity was not immediately disclosed, stated that she finds it difficult to stay away from sex for too long. By the standards of the NYSC body, the erring corps members have been dismissed from the orientation camp.

          A 53-year-old Nigerian man who works at the United Nations was arrested in connection with a string of bank robberies in Manhattan, over the past month and a half, law enforcement sources tell News 4 New York. The NYPD’s Major Case Squad arrested Abdullahi Shuaibu, of Queens, on Monday, April 17th, at his office at the Foreign Press Centers across from the United Nations building. Police believe he robbed banks while on work breaks.          Law enforcement sources say Shuaibu robbed a HSBC bank at 40th Street and Third Avenue on Monday and then returned to work shortly before he was arrested.They say he’s wanted in at least three other bank robberies.          Shuaibu is listed as a communication specialist at the U.N.
