Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, on Wednesday reportedly spoke with the Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, during a prayer session in the state government house.

Buhari Calls Kano Governor During Prayers

The prayer was said to have been organised by the state government officials for the quick recovery of the president.

Speaking to the governor, Buhari confirmed that the status of his health was improving.

“I’m much better now and I thank you for the prayers and indeed the entire Nigerians”.

The brief conversation was believed to have been heard by the people in the hall, having been placed on speakerphone.

This is coming after several calls by citizens recently, for President Buhari to speak directly to Nigerians who are eager to know the true state of his health.

On Tuesday, he sent a second letter to the senate, stating his intention to extend his stay again in the United Kingdom where he is currently on vacation and receiving treatment.

Kidnappers beat lecturer to death after collecting N1.1m ransom  23rd Feb 2017; Two men, Patrick Koyi and Chituru Ferdinand, have been arrested for allegedly kidnapping a lecturer,Emmanuel Chinasa Obi,working with the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) in September 2016. The suspects also beat the victim to death after collecting N1.1 ransom. Experts said the number of children used in suicide attacks by Boko Haram surged to 27 in the first quarter of this year, compared to nine over the same period in 2016. The Edo state Police command have arrest three lectures of the Ambrole Ali University, Ekopma for allegedly involving themselves in cult-related activities. Youths and traders protest customs invasion of rice warehouse Feb 23rd 2017; Some youths and traders have brought activities and vehicular movement on the ever busy Lagos-Abeokuta expressway to a halt, following a protest over alleged invasion of the rice market by men of the Nigerian Customs Service.The protest which was said to have lasted for hours, took the intervention of the Sango Ota Police Area Commander, Adegoke Fayoade, to restore normalcy to the area. Meanwhile, the Customs Public Relations Officer, Federal Operation Unit, Jerry Attah, dismissed the claims of market invasion, explaining that men of the command on surveillance noticed smugglers were moving rice in bulk on motorcycles from a canoe to a store in the area.
