Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, on Wednesday reportedly spoke with the Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, during a prayer session in the state government house.

Buhari Calls Kano Governor During Prayers

The prayer was said to have been organised by the state government officials for the quick recovery of the president.

Speaking to the governor, Buhari confirmed that the status of his health was improving.

“I’m much better now and I thank you for the prayers and indeed the entire Nigerians”.

The brief conversation was believed to have been heard by the people in the hall, having been placed on speakerphone.

This is coming after several calls by citizens recently, for President Buhari to speak directly to Nigerians who are eager to know the true state of his health.

On Tuesday, he sent a second letter to the senate, stating his intention to extend his stay again in the United Kingdom where he is currently on vacation and receiving treatment.

Six dead, tens injured in DEADLY highway crash  has claimed six -The accident involved a saloon car and a bus -Five of the deceased were from the saloon car Six people lost their lives early on Sunday morning after deadly accident involving a saloon car and a bus along the Londiani-Muhoroni-Kisumu Highway . The accident occurred when the driver of the bus lost control of the vehicle and consequently swerved into the other lane, colliding with the Toyota Wish head-on. The meeting of the Federal Executive Council that holds every Wednesday did not hold yesterday. Yesterday would have afforded President Muhammadu Buhari who returned to the country on Saturday the opportunity of presiding over the council meeting for the first time in over three months. The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, disclosed in a statement that the meeting would not hold. Adesina did not however disclose the reason behind the decision to cancel the meeting. Late Joy Odama Autopsy has revealed that Joy Odama who was allegedly killed by an Alhaji in Abuja, died after inhaling carbon monoxide fumes. Joy Odama, a 200 level undergraduate Mass Communication student at Cross River State University, according to her mother was murdered by Usman Adamu. Contrary to the bereaved woman's allegation, the police reports that the result of the autopsy found carbon monoxide fumes in her body. Former President, Mr Goodluck Jonathan has confirmed the theft of his property from his house in Abuja. He confirmed the incident in a statement by his spokesperson, Ikechukwu Eze, following some media reports that the home was stripped bare and some of the items stolen were being sold in markets.
