Malaysia has asked North Korea to assist in searching for a senior embassy official wanted in connection with the killing of Kim Jong-Nam.

Mr Kim, the half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, died last week at Kuala Lumpur airport.Confirming details of the killing, the police said two women approached him and wiped a toxin on his face.There is widespread suspicion that North Korea was behind the attack, which its envoy in Malaysia has angrily denied.
Authorities are still waiting for the results of the post-mortem examination of Mr Kim’s body, and are seeking his family members to provide a DNA sample.However, North Korea has demanded that Mr Kim’s body be returned to them, and has angrily objected to Malaysia conducting an autopsy of the body.

The federal government has approved the closure of five foreign missions and embassies, minister of foreign affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama said. Onyeama told newsmen in Abuja on Thursday, May 25, 2017. The State Security Service (SSS), on Saturday, announced the arrest of Husseini Maitangaran, a top commander of by Islamic State of West Africa (ISWA), otherwise known as Boko Haram. He was arrested in Kano on 31 August.  Maitangaran, according to a statement issued by the service, spearheaded several deadly attacks in Kano in 2012. Policemen from the Ipakodo division have arrested a suspected killer of a family of three in Ibeshe Titun, in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State. It was learnt that the suspect, whose identity had yet to be ascertained, was arrested on Tuesday in the community. A resident, who asked not to be identified, said the suspect had been taken into custody and was being interrogated by the police. He said, “The man was arrested this morning (Tuesday) and he confessed to being a member of the gang that attacked and killed members of the family. He was beaten to a pulp by an angry mob as he also mentioned the names of their sponsors. German national dies after slumping at Lagos airport A German national, Mr Brenard Christo, who slumped  on Friday  at the General Aviation Terminal of the Murtala Mohammed Airport, Lagos, has died at an undisclosed hospital. The spokesman for the Lagos Airport Police Command, DSP Joseph Alabi, confirmed the death of the German to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN)  on Saturday . Alabi said the deceased was waiting to board a local Arik Air flight  on Friday  morning when he suddenly collapsed. He said medical personnel attached to the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) rushed to the scene to assist the German citizen and was eventually taken to a hospital where he later passed on.
